What is the advantage of SQLite over Excel?

Now I use Excel files to store time series data (for example, exchange rates, the MICEX index, etc.). To read and write data, I access Excel files through Python, C# and R code.
I thought about using SQLite to store data. But I don’t know what benefit I will get for myself from switching to SQLite (instead of Excel). I'm just wondering if it's worth learning SQL and switching to SQLite or not.
What are the benefits and disadvantages of switching to SQLite?

the advantage of sqlite is that it is free, embedding, and, in fact, sql.
if you use excel only for yourself and it suits you, then you don't need the advantages of sqlite.
