To solve tasks from this group, one should use "single-pass" algorithms that allow obtaining the required result after a single review of the initial data set. One-pass algorithms have an important advantage: they do not require the entire set of data to be stored in memory at the same time, so arrays can be avoided when implementing these algorithms in software.
