What is real programming in PHP and 1C?

I have been working in the IT field since 2001. All this time I have been engaged in enikeying, although, some time ago, I administered several servers on Windows 2008 Server.
Higher education, profile.
Repeatedly tried to jump into either PHP or 1C.
Downloaded books, tutorials, video courses, development software.
I solved many heaps of examples, but nothing remained in my head.
Once I went to an interview in the office, solved a test task, did it,
but when it came to my achievements, the employer said that during this time
I had achieved very little. I didn't go to this office.
Actually, the question is, what should I do?

Start doing real projects. No ambition. Just start with the simplest. As you realize, you will inevitably move forward, gain experience. It seems to me that one real project is worth a hundred solved problems)

Keep doing nothing. Or do something.
ps 1C is the way to nowhere, and PHP is different. You can rivet sites on all sorts of WordPress and magnets, or you can write web applications, and for this you already need a good level and understanding of the basics.
