What is paid in asp.net mvc besides windows + visual studio?

Good day!
I analyzed information on the topic of ASP.NET MVS vs Python and everywhere there is a mention that asp is paid.
It is clear that the programmer must have Windows and visual studio. But other than that?
Hosting prices are the same. On paid hosting, as a rule, you can choose asp or php for the same price (there is no difference here).
What else is paid in asp that may be required to develop, for example, an online store?
Interested in a comparison in this issue, for example, with the same Django / Flask. Thank you.

There is nothing paid in ASP.NET MVC itself. It can run on linux + MySql. And with ASP.NET 5, everything is out of the box. Another thing is that usually, when choosing ASP.NET, they choose microsoft products (MSSQL, Windows Server, etc.)

There is a free community edition of the studio . Features at the professional level.
You may also want to use visual studio online , a cloud-based variant of tfs that is free for up to 5 users.
