What is more promising for the future development of php / joomla or php / yii?

Good afternoon!
PHP level beginner.
There are two suggestions for work:
1. There is a ready-made site on joomle 1.5 (it slows down well), the task is:
a) either to upgrade it to older versions
b) or rewrite it on something else or another CMS
, there are no special time limits, but do everything in one snout))))
2. An internal site is written in yii. There are 2 more people in the team, but they are not professionals and you won’t get much knowledge from them, so I think you’ll have to figure everything out on your own in the 3rd. There are no deadlines either.
Which direction will be more promising in the future to try freelancing?
Thank you

It is obvious that Yii, because you will upgrade your skills and there is something to earn on freelancing. And the projects there are much more interesting than on Joomla. Regarding the brakes of the old version, I don’t think that you will be surprised by the performance of the latest versions of the system after the transfer of all content and modules. Here, too, definitely Yii with adequate caching and database optimization for the needs of the project.

Ruby or Python, php definitely has no prospects (at least for the developer himself)
