To separate flies from cutlets. To form complex structures, not blogs. For forums, shops, portals, groups.
When all this is in one stuffing - the type of post records, it becomes difficult to support, develop in breadth. Each post type has its own multiple taxonomies. Which may or may not overlap with other post types.
