What is better to use as a comment block on the site: Disqus or VK comments?
I have a new site, there are not many visitors, there is Disqus, but there are few comments, I think that if you put VK, then it will be more convenient for people to comment. What do you advise?

Apparently Disqus is more common in the world. If your target audience is Russia, then I think VK is unequivocal.
For the target audience in the form of a programming audience, definitely DIsqus
If I use comments, then I always use native WP with minor modifications - authorization through social networks, notification of comments, disabling extra fields, etc. If the client insists on an external system - for the west and all non-shkololo - Disqus. If the audience is clearly VKontakte, then the VK module.
There are several reasons for using the built-in comment system:
1. Loading speed and the possibility of caching
2. The ability to index comments and search through them (including search engines can index)
3. More complete control over the comments themselves, their design, the functionality of the comment form (for example , allow uploading pictures or inserting oEmbed)
4. Ability to use widgets "last comments" and so on
5. The ability to use the number of comments as one of the metrics to determine the popularity of posts
6. The absence of blocking external scripts and requests. I try to avoid using external requests altogether to reduce page load times
7. ... and other small benefits, depending on the type of site
As far as spam goes, Akismet does a great job.
For shkololo and humor kontaktik, for a specialized narrow - discus. In general, in practice, comments on a slightly promoted resource go somewhere around 0.05-0.1% of the daily audience. If more than 2-3%, it makes sense to screw your own.
I used Disqus, put a widget from VK, Facebook, but it's not that. Everywhere I had to do a lot of actions, for which I simply did not have time. A third service also owns the data of authorized users, which is not good.
I am a web developer and since I did not find anything worthwhile, I decided to write my own comments plugin for WordPress. Called it AnyComment , it solves all the problems for me, as you previously wrote it for your blog. I soon realized that others might need it too.
Here's what I kept in mind while writing:
I believe that the essence of blogging is to have contact with your subscribers. For some, a blog is an expression of their thoughts, and for some, communication with customers, so it is important to have contact with them. The plugin saves all data about users in your blog and can be directly contacted at any time if necessary.
Hope this can be of use to someone. Now the plugin is actively maintained and will be improved!
