What is a good terminal and SSH client for Mac OS X?

Please tell me some normal subject for Mac OS X. You need to both work in the local console and connect to Ubuntu and FreeBSD servers via SSH. In the native console:
a) the mouse is not supported by default (it can be solved with a crutch)
b) in mc you have to press Cmd + F10 instead of F10 to exit (you can survive)
c) in the mc editor Cmd + left is not equal to End
d) in the same mc like this and did not figure out how to press Shift + F4
I know about iTerm2. He sends me Shift+F6 via Shift+F4…
Are there any other options? Or can any of these two be customized? The ideal terminal - PuTTY under Windows - I want something similar. Google, in principle, gives options and a lot, I don’t really want to go through everything - all of a sudden there is already a ready-made proven tool.

In order for iTerm2 to behave like a Linux terminal, with hotkeys in mc, you need to go to iTerm2 settings -> Profiles -> Keys tab and mark + Esc at the bottom. Most likely the question will arise, how to select files in mc without the Insert key - for this, the Ctrl-T combination is used.

Regarding Cmd-F10 in mc: We go to the Mac OS X system settings, then to the keyboard settings, the Keyboard Shortcut tab, select "Mission Control" on the right and uncheck F10 on the left.

While still a Linux user, having tried terminals in the form of regular windows at various times, I came to the conclusion that drop-down terminals like Yakuake are more convenient and faster to use. Since then I can't use Konsole, Gnome Terminal.
On Mac OS X I looked for a terminal of the same type and found TotalTerminal. I am very satisfied, I would not change for any other.
Weaned from mc. I haven't used it much in recent years. TotalTerminal + SSH to a remote server + GNU screen is enough for 99.9%.

I, too, once had mc as a habit, and when switching to Mac OS, the keyboard features caused inconvenience. But, after some practice in the bash, it became much easier to live, and mc now seems like an inconvenient overkill. If, nevertheless, the console is really lacking and you need a file manager with windows, you can use gouish, transmit for example.
