A seemingly simple question, but there is a lot of confusion around it. There are no clear definitions on the Internet.
PC is a gaming platform?
Windows is a gaming platform?
PlayStation is a gaming platform?
Is the PlayStation 4 a gaming platform?
Mobile is a gaming platform?
Android is a gaming platform?
Steam is a gaming platform?
Stadia is a gaming platform?
Unity is a gaming platform?
Vulkan is a gaming platform?
Intel (processor family) is it a gaming platform?
x64 (bit depth) is a gaming platform?
.NETis it a gaming platform?
I understand that any of the above terms can be called in other words. For example, Windows is an OS, but it doesn't follow that it can't be a gaming platform. It all depends on the definition of the gaming platform.
