What is a "floating bit" when protecting information from copying?
I read on Wikipedia: Software protection - "Key diskette".
There are these words:
"Floating beat". One bit is written in such a way that in some cases it is read as "0", in others as "1". The floppy disk is read multiple times; read results must include both zeros and ones.
