What IP phones to use in the hotel?
Hello!!!
People, I would like to consult and ask for advice. Can anyone suggest which IP phones are better to use for accommodation in hotel rooms? Most interested in wireless with a wi-Fi module. There are places where it is extremely difficult to reach the wires.
It is planned to connect them to asterisk.
I will be glad to your suggestions)

Maybe not WiFi, but DECT?
For example, up to 7 KX- TPA65 fixed DECT telephones can be connected to the KX-TGP600 telephone base
Wifi phones can create a lot of problems because wifi is a shared medium. Several guests have set up wifi hotspots on their mobiles on the same channel and are watching videos, both they and you have problems. Still better wire or dec.
I would advise grandstream and yealink, but what is strange is that I have not met them in any hotel and perhaps there are reasons for this. 3cx even has a separate module for hotels. Implementing its analogue on asterisk is quite difficult, but its functionality can be understood that there may be certain difficulties, for example, if guests make paid calls or turn on dnd.
In general, asterisk is not the best solution for this task, it is better to either take a ready-made solution for this area or a ready-made ip pbx, for example, from the same grandstream, since they are not at all expensive.
From personal experience, wifi phones are very capricious and expensive, it also requires a properly built wifi network, with qos. And very low fault tolerance. If there is a need for cordless phones, then it is better to choose DECT.
I implemented the project on SNOM phones. They have roaming support.
