An interesting and promising project, where there are smart managers, a good leader, and all sorts of little things (comfortable table, comfortable chair, cookies). Ability to stay at work (shower, bed). Ability to come and go at any time. Lack of total control. When a programmer is immersed in a similar or close atmosphere, the code will be written on its own =) In general, in any job, this is the case =) Satisfy all the wishes (real, not Bentley under the windows) of the employee - and the trick is in the bag. The total cost is not so big, but the profits are many times greater.

The pleasure of creation. When you have done something, and it is used, and it brings joy to people.

Something inside. Probably the essence of a programmer ...

Just a result that you will be proud of later.

A wife with a frying pan in her hands :)
When I explained to my wife a long time ago that my profit depends on the quantity and quality of the code I write. It was probably my mistake…
She really wants her apartment by the end of autumn and that is why I am “inspired” to write code every day.

Desire to write less

And why exactly "a lot of code"? The less code, the more versatile the software. And the more code, the more functional the software. You need to look for a middle way, but producing a lot of code is definitely not a good trend. I prefer to endure a thought for several months, and then solve it with a few lines or a visible piece of code, which, when returning to it in a year, can be covered with an eye.

Money, of course, and what can you buy with it

  1. An interesting task. For me, programming is somewhat akin to solving puzzles or math problems.
  2. Opportunity to benefit people and gain recognition.
  3. Good team. I write code much more actively if I have someone to discuss problems and share knowledge with.
  4. Pleasant working conditions.
  5. Money, where without it.

And I just like it, I have no managers, no team, no money at home. I'm sitting inventing wheels, just like that.

I get wild pleasure from the fact that the project begins to take shape, and in the end it works as intended.
Childish happiness in the soul, or something!

Sorry for being frank, but writing code - only money can inspire me. But I always loved mathematics, I went to the Olympiads. At the institute I became interested in sports programming. In general, I always liked to delve into “beautiful”, interesting algorithms and come up with my own.

Task. So far, nothing more. Maybe I'm just not spoiled for development conditions yet, so that's why it's just a task.
