What if the customer wants more edits?

We make a site on a turnkey basis.
I made a sketch on WireFrame. The customer approved.
They made a 25% prepayment and I started developing the layout .
We made a layout - the customer did not like that the text lies on the pictures (the pictures are darkened, and the text is white on top) .
In general, edits for 2 days. The model was made in 4 days.
That is, to redo half of the work, but on the sketches everything was as it is now.
What to do? The sketch was approved, she knew that the text would be on the pictures...d
UPD: the project was completed successfully. :)

1) The cost of edits must be agreed in advance, as well as the entire development procedure;
2) If you did not discuss this before you took an advance payment, then according to customs it is worth making edits for free;
3) The customer does not consider the layout to be strict. It's a sketch for him, as it is for you. Therefore, edits are inevitable;
4) You must understand and remember that in the Russian Federation clients are very capricious, stingy and not pedantic, so it is difficult and unpleasant to work with them.

После года работы на фрилансе я перестал брать заказы у девушек. С ними очень трудно договориться, они капризны, не идут на компромиссы и при разговоре о деньгах встают в позу. Часто не знают чего хотят. Может это мой уникальный опыт, но я так говорил себе много раз, и снова обжигался. За год у меня было около пяти заказов от девушек, все неудачные. С мужским полом проблем не возникало никогда (!), куча успешно выполненных проектов. Пусть феминистки закидают меня помидорами, но женщина-заказчик на российском фрилансе - это беда

Мне казалось что дизайн и функционал будет делаться исходя из моих пожеланий.
Дизайн и так уже сделан из его/её пожеланий, и был утверждён. Не вижу проблем. Проверять нужно соответствие макету, а не "пожелания". В макете есть у Вас нет - Ваш косяк, переделывать и бесплатно. Это же относится ко всем "недоглядел", "забыл уточнить", "забыл сдать макет обратно дизайнеру на доработку" и т.д.
Функционал - согласно ТЗ/договорённости/описания к макету...
По моему, всё довольно очевидно. Иначе, что по вашему заказчик подразумевает под "правками" и где у них логический предел?

работайте на полностью почасовой оплате. Общение с заказчиком, чтение документации, правки - всё это должно трекаться и оплачиваться

Edits, this is when the performer did not quite the same as in the layout / sketch. And yes, such edits are included in the cost of kakbe.
If everything is done as agreed, then these will no longer be edits, but Wishlist. And Wishlist - paid.

To begin with, a BRIF is being made.
By all means you knock out the BRIF from the customer.
This is a formal description of what he wants.
As soon as your task matches the brief, you can demand payment.
Otherwise, the customer will never stop.
Another option is to negotiate with the customer to pay for further options / experiments.
Many are willing to pay.

It's very simple - work by the hour. How much they worked - so much they earned. Surprise how well clients perceive this practice. They themselves know how much money they are ready to make changes and give vague requirements for work.
PS 4 days for the first layout is incredibly long.
