What if android developer license expired?

If I bought a license, posted an application, people download it, but what will happen to the account and application when the license ends and I don’t pay? Will it be possible to download? update the app? Maybe something else will change?

In the play market, the developer license is perpetual.
$15 or $25, I don’t remember, and that’s it, forever (or rather, until the first ban, but I hope you won’t meet with this).
