What graphical shell to install on the ubuntu server?

I have a server with ubuntu, I want to put a graphical shell there, so that I can humanly look for something in the browser, download and other delights, but the gnome is too much, what would you advise to put and why? p.s. I don't understand GUI at all.

put everything, try, choose what you like.
why? Yes, because everyone's Wishlist is different: here's a gnome for you - too much, but for me - norms.
you can start with lxde/xfce. or immediately for hardcore - from tile managers.
