What good literature exists on these technical subjects?

I study at the university in a not entirely technical direction (no longer technical), but there are some technical subjects that I would like to study (more is required than I want, of course, but knowing it myself is also interesting and important): theoretical mechanics, electrostratics and probability theory , essentially from scratch and not very voluminous, but with the preservation of the entire logic of the processes.
At school, I liked similar subjects (physics and probability theory), but they were given as subjects not very cool (I think so), I myself did not want to study them. Things got bad at uni, not the way I wanted. Items are simply written out on the board in the form of formulas and scientific theorems without normal real logical connections with the world. And all this accumulates in a lump, and it is impossible to understand dry scientific definitions in large quantities, and even more so to connect them together with the real world and at least other tasks, but I would like ... Then it would be possible to understand the subject, understand where and what use why certain formulas, theorems and rules work, understand, not teach. This would be desirable. At such a level that you can pass the subject in a normal technical university.
So, a little preface was needed to better understand what I want :).
You need the right educational literature on these subjects so that you can understand, just understand what is happening. Without multi-volume publications on each subject, because I asked not to become a doctor of science, but to understand the subject.
