What FS to use on FreeNAS inside Proxmox (programm-RAID-1,ext4)?

I created a VM with FreeNAS inside Proxmox, I will give it 320 GB for now, the way the hypervisor backs up virtual machines and itself there. Everywhere for ZFS increased requirements for RAM, even give it 2GB, and in the requirements they write 8GB for FreeNAS 9.x

You came up with some stupid idea to backup Proxmox to a virtual machine on the same Proxmox then it’s easier and more reliable to backup directly to disk. In the event of a crash, backups will be restored a hundred times more.

FreeNas, as I understand it, asks for 8 GB on hdd and operas at least 512 meters if my memory didn’t get lost and then only for installation, I put 1.5 GB of RAM on it for 200 GB, it runs with a bang, I didn’t see any problems. in the requirements, if I translated everything correctly for myself, it was said that a 1TB hdd should have 1GB of RAM

zfs has higher RAM requirements if deduplication is enabled.

Your data will not be cached. FS then one of the requirements must be selected - you did not voice them
1Gb of memory for 1Tb of data

You don't have to do that. So you come to work, and the server freezes and does not load. You start to figure it out - you have a dead FS on the storage. What is the point of such a backup?
