What form to use for IP when working with a customer from the USA?
Good day to all.
So the situation. I am an individual entrepreneur, the customer is a company in the USA. After I sent the invoice for payment, they sent me a W-9 form, but that one is for local organizations and because, as I understand it, I need a different form.
This begs the question - should I use Form W-8BEN for int. physical persons or W-8BEN-E for int. legal faces? In fact, an individual entrepreneur is not a legal entity, but this issue is not obvious to the US tax service.
Also, can a TIN be treated as a TIN when filling out Form W-8BEN? And if W-8BEN, then is it necessary to write the full name in the form or IE full name?
PS: Or do I still need to use the W-9 form if the bank account details (UBRD) DEUTSCHE BANK TRUST COMPANY AMERICAS, BKTRUS33, corr. account (not my personal, but like a general bank account) 04453488.
NEW YORK, USA?
I would be grateful for an explanation, it is the first time I work with the United States through a legal channel, and in the accounting department there are some idiots who do not know.
