Is there anything more convenient than Excel?

Of the excel graphic editors, the priority
is Almost no worse than libreoffice calc - an open and free analogue of excel
To answer the question directly, I also use visual studio code - a text editor. There it is more convenient to work with regular expressions and restore "broken" csv.
What do you need from the editor?
If there are a lot of calculations, calculation results, then it might be worth learning python and pandas - a library for working with dataframes (tables). There you can do a lot and much faster than in Excel.
I have not seen more convenient Excel, IMHO.
PS Why did excel suddenly become a text editor?
If you just need to work with a file, Excel is faster and more convenient , I think there is nothing.
If you need to correct something, for example, change the encoding, or add
sep=,
it to the beginning of the file so that Excel understands it, then Notepad ++ , because there are macros and text replacement using regular expressions.
