What does int86(0x10, ...) mean?

Perhaps a rather stupid question. I can't figure out what the int86(0x10, ...) command means? Why are we passing a parameter of type 0x.. ?

Because interrupt numbers in DOS are usually written in hexadecimal form.
0x10 == 10 16 == 16 10
