What does an AMD driver need? How to normally install it on Linux?

I wanted to put the driver on the HD4250, went to the product site and downloaded it for x64.
After unpacking, I gave the rights to run in the properties of the .run file and launched it through the terminal:

Created directory fglrx-install.A4LZ3p
Verifying archive integrity... All good.

By the way, before that I tried to install fglrx, but only fglrx-pxpress is in the repositories (I installed, deleted, nothing changes, it’s not clear what this package is for and there is no sensible description.)
What needs to be done so that it can be installed normally?

For fglrx you need a 13-14 distro. With kernel 3.xx and old X's.
If I were you, I'd sit in the open.
