In simple terms, a software analyst is a person who will tell programmers where the code does not work well and will offer options for simplifying and optimizing the program.
In general, this person should have a fairly solid work experience, because if this approach is used in a company, then this person is listened to. He can advise when you can use ready-made libraries, code sections, and when you need to write something from scratch. In my practice, I met with this position and the person 1 time in my life. It seems to me that this is a rather rare "fish" in our lake.

Well, how will he analyze it if he knows nothing?
