DLNA

What do you need to speed up video playback when viewing via DLNA?

Hello, I have

a Samsung QE55Q70TAUXRU TV and an ASUS RT-AX92U router.
The router supports the functionality of the media server, but rather mediocre, as it does not support some audio codecs. I began to think about how to raise a media server on a PC.

1) I really want to be able to watch movies in an accelerated form. Is accelerated video playback a feature of the DLNA client or DLNA server? I don't understand if I'm looking for a suitable media server for nothing

2) Can you recommend a media server under Ubuntu Linux that would allow this? (Unless of course this is a feature of the server)

@Drno

We can advise you to put a KODI + set-top box on the TV)) if there is not an androyd of course, and stupidly share the folder over the network
Codecs most likely TV does not support, not DLNA
Alternatively, you can try plex. server + client
Well, or vlc player, it is under androyd and supports accelerated viewing
