Good day!
I want to read your advice about creating a site. I have experience in layout and design, but it's time to learn how to create your own "blog" and launch it!
I have in my arsenal gulp, and so far I'm training and writing on a local server.
HTML(Pug), CSS(SCSS), JS(JQUERY). The site itself is almost ready, now I want to learn more about the launch from experienced guys. I want to say right away that the site is static (blog).
There is no need to talk about renting / buying a domain, as well as launching on some kind of hosting. I need to know about there, how to secure my code and site etc. Jekyll and others unnecessarily, maybe I'll try it later. But if you advise, then I will take it right away.
In general, tell me the basic principles of launching a site for hosting, its protection, the necessary software (not a CMS, etc. - it's just a blog), etc.

That's just for a blog, if the goal is to maintain, I'm sorry, a blog, it would be worth it to take a ready-made CMS - most likely Wordpress, and not take a steam bath. All you need from a blog is to work stably, not interfere with SEO and contain useful content - CMS with the first and second are doing well out of the box. 3 - depends only on you.
Well, for self-development - everything to which the soul lies.
Put a web server on the VDS, configure it to listen to requests and call your code. Everything.
