What do you need to know to build a competent architecture for working with money?

Hello. From what areas of knowledge can we draw information to create a correct, from a technical point of view, system in which participants will have wallets and the ability to make transfers to each other?
I suppose that I will need to dive into Accounting, but then I’m slipping something. Are the difficulties associated with such projects described somewhere?

Double-entry bookkeeping.
And separation from the real movements of admins / programmers + their control (as it is done in banks - divide and conquer).
