What do you need to know before learning a programming language?

Hello. My question is: what you MUST know before learning any programming language? Is it enough to read a logic textbook and know a school course in mathematics? Or do you need something else?

It is imperative to understand that the longer you ask yourself what to do before you start doing it, the longer you will not start.

Hello. My question is: what you MUST know before learning any programming language?

1) You need to know about the existence of search engines (for example, google), question-answer systems (stackoverflow, for example) and documentation for your programming language. It is also desirable to know how to use them.
2) You need to know what a computer is and how to interact with it.
It will not be superfluous, but it is not mandatory.

It is desirable to have at least a solid four in mathematics. This is like an indicator of more or less developed logical thinking. But desirable - does not mean necessarily. There are examples when C students quite successfully studied programming.

You can learn a programming language without knowing anything.
But for understanding, it would be good to have an idea about set theory, Boolean algebra, a certain minimum of ordinary algebra. For interesting applications (data analysis, robotics), a minimum of matan, analytical geometry and optimization will be useful.
