What do you call pictures and icons?

What do you name your icons?
There are two options:
1) ic-arrow_left.svg
2) ic_arrow_left.svg
In the first case, there is the name of the element (what is it) and then after the bottom dash a modifier (reference to BEM)
In the second, the bam disappears and there is just a division of words.
There is no right answer, everyone calls it whatever they want. I just want to hear opinions.

I usually create a folder structure for images like

img
-ico
--social
---1.svg
---2.svg
---3.svg
--main
---bg-top
---bg-footer
