Tested MemTest86 V9.1 Free (64-bit)
Installed 2 sticks of 8GB each

Do another test of each bar separately.
Turn off the PC, pull out one bar, run MemTest86, several runs, or until errors appear.
Turn off the PC, pull out the tested bar, put another one, run MemTest86, several runs, or until errors appear.
If there are errors, move the only bar to another slot and run MemTest86 again. If there are no errors in another slot with the same bar, then it may not be the memory itself that is to blame, but the motherboard or processor.
If both one and the other bar separately do not cause errors, then it is likely that the motherboard or processor is to blame.
