Regarding programming:
Need understand the OOP approach, be able to apply patterns, understand what a heap, queue, stack are.. how to apply it, understand the MVC architecture.
After that, you can learn some kind of framework.
Be sure to get yourself an acc on GitHub or BitBucket and add everything (!) What you write there.
About working in a web studio (most often juniors get there):
Regarding riveting business cards and shops: I would not recommend it, because you are unlikely to gain decent experience there, and you will learn how to write terrible, unsupported code 100%.
Everything written is my subjective opinion.
UPD: Regarding "I know SQL well" - I'm sure you will discover a rich and wonderful world)))
