What do I need to prepare to upgrade a Windows 10 SSD drive?

I have an HP Envy 13 series laptop with Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM installed. The drive is running out of space and you need to buy a replacement with a larger capacity and transfer the OS and all data to the new drive. The laptop is still under warranty.
Questions:

  1. How can I find out which model and with what connectors and dimensions to buy a replacement?
I know the exact model of the current disk and that it is form-factor M.2
  2. Is it possible to connect 2 drives at the same time to transfer data like in a PC?
If there is only 1 slot, then what to do?
  3. Can I replace the disk myself without violating the warranty, or is it necessary to hand over the computer for service?
If you take it to a service, how long does such a replacement procedure usually take, not including the data transfer itself?

1. Select the dimensions based on the model of the current drive.
2. Yes, you can connect. There is an adapter m2=usb 3.0, you can also save the current copy to an external drive, boot from a flash drive (there are many programs for this, the same acronis) then insert a new SSD and restore from an external hard drive.
3. Yes, you can replace by yourself. The issue of warranty already depends on the complexity of disassembly (if you have the opportunity to replace the disk without completely disassembling it, just remove the cover. You will not damage any seals) It also depends on the policy of the company that released the laptop.

SSD drive
Add a disk (without reinstalling Windows) and in "Options" change "Device memory", "Change save location ...". This is if you use the "tile".
You can also override environment variables, move standard folders, use symbolic links for folders.

  1. Read the specifications on the manufacturer's website, or just get an existing one.
  2. Of course, you also have USB slots and a network - you can connect at least a hundred disks.
  3. No, you will lose your warranty if you replace it yourself.
How long does a replacement procedure usually take?
As a rule, this is 10-30 minutes of work, and how long the service will do, it depends on the service, on average 2-10 days
