What device to use to support a web project on the road?

Sometimes the need to change something in the project overtakes when I'm not at home, that is, away from the computer. And actually what device can you advise for programming (in small volumes) "on the road"?
The web project is located on a remote server, you need to connect to it via ssh and continue working with files.
The laptop is not exactly the best option for me, too expensive and sometimes too bulky for such small tasks. I looked towards tablets, especially the iPad 2017 (inexpensive, small, powerful, multitasking, but I don’t know about the presence of software). Phone because of the size of the screen, of course, does not fit.

Netbook? 10.1 inches allow you to work with the code quite tolerably.

Take Acer Aspire ES 11 ES1-132 (NX.GG2EU.005). If you want, you can buy a Chrome Book, of course, if you sell it.
The iPad is unlikely to fit due to the lack of proper software for the code.

I settled on Prestigio Multipad Visconte M, bought from my hands for 20kRub. Of the pros: a mobile processor with passive cooling, 6 hours of battery life ,
4Gb128Gb, 4G LTE , 11.6 "1920x1080 with good brightness, full-size USB 3.0, a normal touchpad with mechanical buttons, weight with a keyboard and charging less than a kilogram
shit...
