What database is best suited for a system similar in structure to Modx Evo?

Good day!
There is an idea to transfer the old site from modx evo to a system written in Yii. But leave the common elements for the convenience of the site admins, i.e. if possible, leave the main elements - chunks, snippets and plugins and of course TV parameters. The question is, which database is best to choose for the convenience and speed of work if the document has TV parameters. What should be done with TV parameters? anyone familiar with modx knows that a document may have a certain set of parameters, and another document may have a different set of parameters. So you need to do a search for these TV parameters as quickly as possible. As I see it - either mongodb or postgreSQL. I have not worked with these databases before, that's why I'm asking. As I managed to study in mongo, you can write a json array and do a calm search for any key from the json array. And in postgreSQL since version 9. 3, a type appeared - json, which, it seems, can also be used to search by keys. Who worked with mongodb b postgreSQL tell me which database is best suited for my task?

You have a NoSQL brain. Why didn't MySQL suit you? What for to alter the working "curve" Modx system under other DB?
