What could be the reasons for modx output filters not working properly?

Simple lines for withdrawing the limit in the template.

Let's say the resource limit on the page is 10, but the placeholder gives a value even if limit=5 or doesn't give anything for any values, depending on the filter conditions.
It's just that output works as it should, and no filters work as they should.
What could be the problem?

It seems to me that the problem is in the types when comparing. In the final, strings are compared, not numbers.
I can only advise you to add your own filter to the output (in plugins), where you will control the entire process.
