What console email client allows you to save attachments from emails to your hard drive?

I faced a problem: periodically download letters from the mailbox and extract attachments from some, putting them in a specific folder for further processing. It is not very difficult to write a simple email client for a daemon using numerous examples (C#, Python, Java), but I am sure that more than one 1001 person has faced such a problem and solutions have been lying around somewhere for a long time.

Actually, they are looking for a (preferably free) CLI-mail client that can work under Windows, or with a graphical interface and a simple API that allows you to extract attachments from emails and save them to your hard drive. There are quite a lot of console mail clients, but I would not like to go through them all in search of the right one, so I ask for your recommendations.
