What can you say about the courses from the "Specialist"?
Greetings!
Guys, what can you say about the courses from the "Specialist", and specifically about the teacher Igor Olegovich Borisov? Is it worth learning from him?
Thank you.

In the Specialist, the level of courses depends quite strongly on what one reads.
Igor is an intelligent and competent teacher. Yes, the manner may seem non-standard, but you will get used to it quickly.
Py.Sy. If you go to his course - say hello from me :)
Learn from manuals, books, articles.
ps Good programmers are too lazy to record video tutorials IMHO!
And you look at the lessons of Artem (sorax) , then try to look at the "specialist".
The teacher is certainly good, but as Roman Belinsky said , he does not spare his ears
I personally studied with him in the same Specialist (JS), he understands his subject perfectly, as for the presentation of the material, it is given very intensively, but this is rather the specifics of the courses. If you don’t practice, you will forget everything, and, unlike Pavlov, he, unfortunately, practically does not set homework. When I was a student, we were given only one homework assignment during the entire course (I think it was a pretty simple crow-counting problem), so if you really set yourself the goal of "learning", you'll have to find the problems yourself. Those small laboratory ones that he gives in the lesson, it seems to me, are insufficient, and rarely there was something complicated or interesting in them. However, I do not insist on the absolute truth of such an opinion, it is quite possible that for some, even these laboratory ones will be enough for a firm memorization.
You read the comments on the torrents where his courses are distributed, he is a celebrity No. 1 there (in a positive sense).
I once started training with them, so I’ll say it’s normal. If you take their courses + the same Sorax + luftblog, you will get a good foundation :) But it's all a matter of taste, you can also find a mentor.
The book will be better) Well, who cares) And depending on what course)
I have a strange impression. I was on a course with Sedykh on the basics of programming and databases. I taught a dump of the head, just listen and listen, very humorous.
Well, the course is still quite general, maybe more applied courses will teach something directly, but in the end I came to the conclusion that it’s better to sit down and read a book. I went just for the sake of interest during the winter holidays.
