What can you say about ITMO University, and specifically about the BIT department?

I'm going to enter the above university this year, namely the department of BIT. Accordingly, the question arises, how good is the training there? And what will I be able to do in the future, programming or anything directly related to information security? That is, I am very worried about both the training itself and further prospects :)

It’s better to go to the IBKS at the Polytechnic University, in terms of security, the department is much stronger

There (on BIT) you study yourself, they only give you tasks. That is self-learning.
But a lot of free time, study is not annoying.
