What can Node.js do that ASP.NET Core can't?

Now I have a big question, in which area to move on: Node.js or ASP.NET Core. Advantages and disadvantages of each of the systems, speed, etc., as well as the opinion of a specialist. What is more promising in principle?

Looking forward to learning everything. The more knowledge a programmer has, the more chances he has to find a highly paid and interesting job. In any case, if you learn ASP.NET, you will also have to learn JavaScript. Since JavaScript is everywhere now, this is not an exaggeration.

If you want to develop something serious, then it is better to immediately abandon the windows-only platforms
Choose java / go / python / node.js
Any of these languages is written as a server-side and desktop
On java and go, software is also written for android
node .js is javascript - the only native language understood by all browsers

Node.js is cross platform. .NET - no (yet anyway).
Mono for serious projects is not very cool to use.
If you can't decide, learn both. There will be more benefits than these throwing.

On Habré somewhere there was an article about a million simultaneous connections on Node.js and ASP.NET can handle it?
Well, JS itself is a nice language and will come in handy in the front, but where else is asp.net useful?
