What can cause an error with Composer?

here is the error

Cloning into '/var/www/clientportal.lc/vendor/...'...
Permission denied (publickey).
fatal: Could not read from remote repository.

I have ssh installed. And I have access to the repository itself (bitbuket). That is, I can easily clone it via ssh
