What books or resources would you recommend to a beginner in MK programming? I have experience with Arduino, but I would like to try something more serious.

There are almost no books to recommend.
If you do not know C, then start with the usual C textbooks. If you do, then all the datasheets for your microcontroller. If you plan to use the RTOS - then, accordingly, the documentation for it.

DiHalt's course on easyelectronics.ru is usually advised. And not in vain.
