What books are there for newcomers to the PC, like Figurnov?

At one time, my path began with Figurnov's book. However, now it is a little outdated.
What is now considered a kind of "bible" for those who want to become an advanced user?

Saboteur is right.
A couple of notes:
In the last century, when Figurnov wrote his textbook, the variety of software and hardware was a couple of orders of magnitude smaller and one textbook could be enough. Now this is impossible.
I recommend that you first decide on the OS family (Linux, Windows) and start by studying them. And then move on.
There is a lot of literature, look at several books and choose what interests you.

here it would be to understand what you want to study and how deeply ... otherwise, judging by the comments, Figurnov is what you need in your case, everything else later.
