What books are there for beginners in PHP? Tutorials?

Which PHP books are suitable for a beginner?
I hope with their help to put the brains right, because during the training at the courses we seem to make everything clear, but at home I’m stupid. I start with the complex, I don’t see the simple. The problem is in thinking, which prevents you from moving on and which, I hope, can be solved not only by practice, but also by self-instruction books.
If there are any other ways to set your thinking in the right direction, I will be glad to read them)
Video courses did not quite help, and finding a worthy one is also not an easy task.

We have recently launched such a project code-basics.ru , it is free. Try it, the main thing is that it has not only theory, but also a lot of practice. And if you want help with emerging issues, then please contact the largest community of novice programmers in Russia slack-ru.hexlet.io

For beginners, I would not recommend any books on PHP at the moment. I
suggest starting studying with getjump.github.io/en-php-the-right-way and from the documentation on the official php.net website it is detailed, has a translation and is accompanied by user comments .

It seems to me that people advise pretty advanced stuff for a beginner. Read Zandstra or already some nuances in php the right way - you need some kind of base.
I do not recommend the book. But I would advise you to try the video again from Linda-dot-com.
By Kevin Skoglund: php with mysql essential training. IMHO, he's smart. Not too long, but most importantly, very clear and understandable.
But after that, move to some framework and practice.

I advise Zandstra , if you don’t master it right away, then I advise you to postpone it for later, but be sure to read it.

Look for a mentor. Paid-free is not so important, but free is correspondingly more difficult =) .
It is better to deal with practical problems than just reading. Well, either combine.
I've been trying to learn C++ for so long and it's been pretty tedious and slow.
