What book to give to an electronics engineer?
Greetings!
I have a friend who is fond of electronics, and at a fairly advanced level, that is, he has almost nothing to do with Arduino and the like, he also has an education in this area. I would like to give him a book for his birthday that would expand his knowledge, not necessarily specifically in electronics, but perhaps also in related sciences: programming, mathematics, materials science and the like.
I don’t necessarily consider books as gift options, but soldering stations, testers, oscilloscopes and other equipment and consumables are available.
Thanks for the recommendation!

Give an e-book to an electronics engineer.
A win-win.
If the format is larger, then it will be convenient to read manuals and datasheets in PDF.
Conventional technical literature now becomes obsolete faster than you have time to bring it from the store. Unless there are some fundamental things, but a person has already gone through something at the institute, something may already exist ... you can’t guess here. In the era of the Internet, you need to give electronic devices. Even a cheap tablet will not be superfluous if it can be fixed above the soldering station and used purely for online viewing of datasheets as an additional screen.
Another option on the verge of a foul is to take a picture of the workplace in the workshop so that multimeters, an oscilloscope, solder pastes and more can be seen. A trained eye of a specialist in the same field will immediately see which devices and tools can be upgraded to more recent ones. The same multimeters, especially if it is on the table alone, do not happen extra. Even if it's pretty cheap with alik, but at 9k counts.
If you donate a book (which I do not recommend, they become obsolete damn quickly), then in English
I will advise something about MK programming in C ++ (if he does not write in it already)
What is the budget? If you are ready to spend money, then the MFR-1110, this will really be the gift that wow
