What book to choose to start?
I want to study the device of a computer, I choose where to start: "Computer organization" (K. Hamakher, Z. Vranesic, S. Zaki) or "Computer architecture" (E. S. Tanenbaum, T. Austin). Knowledge of hardware is zero, so I don’t understand where to start. I would like to first read about the physical device, then incrementally, up to the OS level. What is best for this?
The "Computer Organization" has an important feature - it is only in digital form.
