What are the ways to turn an old android into an MP3 player?

Hello. I want to extend the life of an old smartphone and because of its decent sound with my favorite headphones I decided that it would be good as an audio player. So what is the best way to do this? Under the root, cut out all unnecessary applications, maybe there are some suitable firmware and everything like that. There is also the question of saving charge, maybe someone knows how to completely disable the GSM module and similar unnecessary things. In general, if someone has done this or just a knowledgeable person, then it would be nice to hear your advice.

Everything is simple.
Applications in principle do not need to be deleted. There is software that will remove at hand, but I do not advise.
GSM is disabled by airplane mode.
The music player is set to autorun.

I agree with Ivan, if you want maximum autonomy, then you can remove all unnecessary applications, such as: Google services, the market, etc. (However, it’s worth leaving a couple of important system software - file manager, launcher, etc.)

You can delete any application using Link2SD under root, but in fact, if the phone with Android is lying and no one calls there, it can even lie with a SIM card for a week.
Radio modules - you can turn off the flight mode, as already mentioned above. Also in the navigation section, look for the "always look for wifi" checkbox, otherwise wifi is sometimes turned off, but listens to what's on the air for geolocation.
But I wouldn’t delete the same market, and it’s more convenient to throw music over wifi than with a cord.
