What are the texture export options from Photoshop?

The only option I know of for textures with no visible repeat pattern is:
- double click on the thumbnail of the texture fill layer
- put the cursor on the texture itself and get a hint about its pixel size
- save the texture to the texture panel
- create a new file of the sizes obtained above, create in it texture fill layer
- export
The problem is that on some systems (Mac, Ps CC) the texture size hint does not appear. Moreover, hints in the Ps settings are not disabled, a hint should appear.
Question: how else can you find out the size of the texture using built-in tools or otherwise export the texture pattern to a raster format?
