I write in Java. Basically Android, but I don’t want to install Android Studio, because not only for Android. And the Idea 13 community has Gradle compatibility issues (Android Studio projects use a newer, backwards incompatible version). I'm tired of it, I decided to try EAP Ultimate (it's not possible to buy yet) - there the gradle updates seem to almost coincide with the studio. In general, what problems/difficulties can there be? Given that from time to time I sit without access to a normal Internet, through which you can download large files, for 2 weeks.

You just have to be morally prepared that Exceptions can pop up on EAP from time to time. But in my memory, this did not happen so often (I myself used EAP for several years and even honestly wrote bug reports).

If the problem is in gradle, then you can disable the plugin and run it from the console. He also knows how to generate projects for Idea (idea plugin).
In general, I am a regular user of EAP, the flight is normal.
