The moment has come when you already want to understand which specialization to go into, which one to become an expert. Yes, I don’t know what they are, specializations.

What are the specializations of a Java programmer? What specializations are in demand now and in the near future? What are the prospects?

Well, in general there are not so many of them:
* Web. Java EE, servlets, portlets, JSF, JSP, Spring, hibernate, that's it...
* Desktop. Console and window applications, Swing, JavaFX, what else is fashionable there?
* Mobile (Android, we don't remember about JavaME). My lovely. Read here .
I didn't seem to forget anything, but maybe someone will add. Oh yes, there is a JVM inside the SIM card, Java code is also executed there, and someone writes it :)
