There's not even a nettop, but a router with DD-WRT for five lines will do. By the way, aster is included in the DD-WRT packages regularly and works well. Tested in production.

What does 5 lines mean?
5 incoming lines? 5 clients?
Take any iron in which you are confident in reliability.
Do a soft raid.
And since the yard is 2015-2016.
I advise you to do it in a virtual machine.

Another option is Orange PI PC. But you will have to install ubuntu to remove X and you can install Aster, all with handles.
