What are the prospects for the scala language?

On the last project where I worked, the backing language was scala. I liked it, I want to study it and find a job. I was surprised by the lack of discussions in the tag on the toaster. Does this mean that the language is little used in Russia? What are its prospects? And how hard is it to find a job?

The good news: Scala is the most used functional language today. At least in Russia. It's just that functional languages are still little used in general.
The bad news: Some of the features of the language have been perceived by the corporate sector as obvious flaws, which is why there have already been cases of abandonment of it by some companies.

language is only part of a gigantic ecosystem - where there is Spark, Akka, Play, Kafka, Marathon.
These are solutions for big data analysis with high efficiency on clusters. In Russia, of course, there are not so many people who demand it, but there is still a demand, especially considering that there are no particular alternatives.
Although, if you don’t feel sorry for the money, you can collectively farm everything on a python.
