What are the pros and cons of android and ios in terms of mobile development?

At the moment I'm learning android business is fun but very difficult compared to the web. To make some seemingly simple feature, you have to write a bunch of adapters, remember a lot of methods, deal with bugs in android studio, etc.
I like mobile development much more than web, so I would like to hear what are the differences in development between android and ios.

The main differences between an apple dev and an android are the need to have a poppy and a MUCH smaller zoo of devices.
everything else is pure subjectivity.
